There once lived a king who was known for his arrogance and vanity. He would often spend hours each day admiring himself in the mirror, convinced that he was the most handsome ruler in the land. He surrounded himself with servants who would constantly sing his praises, further fueling his ego. One day, a wise old woman approached the king and offered him a veiled mirror. Curious, the king accepted the gift and removed the veil. To his surprise, he saw not his own reflection, but the reflections of all those who had ever served him faithfully. The king was struck with a sudden realization - he had been blind to the hard work and loyalty of others, only seeing himself. From that day forward, the king became a humbler and wiser ruler, valuing the contributions of his subjects and treating them with kindness and respect. The moral of this parable is that true beauty lies not in one's physical appearance, but in the way we treat others.
