Informative Guide

This is another well written guide from the Moon Travel Series. (I "graduated" from Lonely Planet about seven years ago and have no plans to return.) My husband and I traveled through the central Sierra and jungle area for a few weeks in early 2010. We used this guide and were very happy with the decisions that we made based on the information provided. No complaints, just another set of happy travelers. Thank you, Moon Ecuador!

Interesting, Contemporary, Useful

There are lots of guidebooks ... picking one with current information is a first priority. Beyond that, finding one that digs deeper into the kind of questions a typical visitor has turns out to be useful as well. This book does that well. I was also happy with the Internet references scattered throughout so I could find other information too.

A great view of Ecuador

I have made many trips to Ecuador and have consulted many travel books on that country. This particular book is the best one I've read - the information is presented in a comprehensible manner and is interesting. Each section provides you with specific tips that allow you to experience the local culture, thus avoidig any pitfalls that the inexperienced traveler could encounter. The book highlights the country's wide range of cultural and geographical diversity.

Moon Over Ecuador

Very informative and as I have used Moon publications before I knew exactly where to go for the things I needed to look at. The index helps finds things faster if you are not quite sure, or even if you know the exact subject matter. It goes in the suitcase first!

Hi, I bought three Ecuador guides for my recent trip. Lonely Planet was pretty good but for detail on hotels and restaurants the Moon Guide gave the greatest detail
