The Ultimate Cowboy Was Monty Price

Although originally published nearly one hundred years ago in a magazine as Monty Price's Nightingale, and also in another short story collection about 30 years ago, this paperback edition is an excellent presentation of this short story. And another fine work from Zane Grey containing all of the visual descriptive quality he is known for. If the name Monty Price seems familiar to any of you readers of Zane Grey, you will find him in The Light of Western Stars, as a severely scarred cowboy working on Madeline Hammand's rancho, and this story is how he received those wounds to his body. Whether nightmare or nightingale makes no difference, and I recommend this book to all lovers of good story telling. And as I said this a good presentation of this work, and I hope Wildside Press publishes other short works by Zane Grey--maybe even some of his non-fiction short work which has never been seen except in its original magazine premiere.
