Children’s Versions/Intro Books for Young Children - Not Suitable for Teen/Adult Game Play

This book, and the series of “A Young Adventure’s Guide” are not useful for Game Play, but rather as an early primer and fun read for someone perhaps in the age range of 7-11 years old who might be learning to play for the first time from a parent or family member. They are short and highlight features of characters/traits/etc., but were not what I thought when I purchased for having supplemental books for gameplay (for my much older teenage son who already has the D&D Player’s Manual and wanted additional books for stats/game play/world building/etc.). In short, these may be 5-star books for a young person in your life (and had I known any kiddos, would make wonderful gifts!), but they are 2-star as the book description and “peek inside” do not illustrate how elementary and not applicable to full gameplay as I would have like to know in advance. Do buy: for young kids with interest in reading/playing D&D with starter sets and/or family members Do not buy: If you are looking for books similar to the Player’s Manual that have full sets of stats, apendicvies, resources, etc.
