A monster named Mormel, homeless, cold and lonely, sneaks into young Zoe's house for shelter. After he is discovered, Zoe's parents call the police who arrest Mormel and take him to jail. Mormel then goes on trial with old Judge Budge presiding and the jury must decide if he is Scary or Not Scary. While deliberating, all the jurors learn something about tolerance and acceptance and following the trial, Judge Budge has an interesting offer for Mormel. Mormel's buddy, Mousie, goes along for the adventure.
