Monster Child

The Spirit Wind Ranch is a very special place for very special people. It's very much a school for exceptional children and all of the kids there are extremely exceptional. Each has their own talent that the teachers nurture. These talents just happen to be paranormal and the kids just might be some of the most powerful psychics in the world. The newest kid at the ranch is Alyson Maguire. Daughter of Rhonda Maguire, head of the powerful Maguire Foundation. Alyson is also the granddaughter of a powerful clairvoyant and it would seem that the young girl has inherited the gift. Her mother has a very dark secret, the very least of which is that she's trying to get rid of Alyson so that the young girl's inheritance will be passed on to Rhonda. The woman has her own talents, none of them good. What's to happen to Alyson? Monster Child is both original and extremely entertaining. There's lots of action and a few mysteries here and there. I think the author has the making of a great series of books featuring the talented kids at Spirit Wind Ranch.
