In the beginning, a man lives in misery with his overbearing, nagging mother in a rambling, damp and unpleasant house. When he can't take any more, he kills her, and buries her bloated body. When he wakes the next morning, her body is back where it was the night he killed her - and the entire world has reset to Monday. Everything that happened before, happens again. He buries his mother's body for the second time, and in the morning he wakes to find it back where it was, and the whole world has reset once more. He soon discovers that there are others trapped in this temporal prison, suffering an endless barrage of Mondays, but only when he meets someone, and falls in love, does he realise that there are worse things than being trapped in an endless Day.
