"Jackson's characters and their heart-wrenching story linger long after the final page, urging readers to advocate for those who are disenfranchised and forgotten by society and the system."... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I’m an adult just turning 40. I read this book about 2 years ago. I thought it was an amazing book and have recommended it to my now 13 year old daughter. I may read it with her so we can have a discussion and I can get her thoughts.
I liked the persistence of the main character and felt every emotion she felt as she was going through it.
I feel like this may be good for teen girls who can handle the topic.
Monday and Claudia BSFFL
Published by CodiRo , 11 months ago
I felt so bad for Monday and Claudia. Monday was a smart and independent girl who wanted to be saved from her abusive mother, while her best friend was struggling with a learning disability and felt like all she needed was Monday. But when Monday goes missing Claudia looks for her nonstop when no one else will while navigating a life without her.
Great and emotive! Read This!!

The main character Claudia is looking for her best friend Monday. Claudia's persistence and concern is admirable. Even through the confusion and hardships, she won't let up. The way the side characters react to the situation is written with so much skill, you don't realize what's happening until it all hits you at once. When the truth comes out and clarity sets in for Claudia (and readers), all the other parts in the story regarding Monday's sister and Claudia's parents will start to move you even more than before. You'll finish the story feeling angry, sorrowful, and sympathetic.
