2-year-old loves it!

This is a very sweet book!! Our son usually chooses if he wants the Mommy side or the Daddy side first -- but of course, he does want both. :) Each story takes up half of the pages... then you flip the book over to read the other story. On the last page of each story, where it says that we love him because he's "the cutest little sweetest little YOU", he cuddles up to me as I say it. :) It's precious!! Great book!!!

One of my daughter's favorites

This book came from a book-of-the-month club when my daughter was an infant. She had it memorized by the time she was two and still loves having me read it to her today (she's 3 1/2). The illustrations are beautiful and I love how each side (mommy side/daddy side) is a poem. The book also teaches your child about animal sounds and actions. And, it's actually two stories - a mommy story and a daddy story on the opposite side. I now bought it as a gift, as it's a perfect book for a child to learn how much both parents love them.

We love this book!!!!

My wife and I got this book when our 4 year old was a toddler...by that time she already had her favorite book so we waited until our newborn was old enough to read to and read it to her we have!! She is now 2 and wants this book read to her numerous times throughout the day...we are actually here to buy another one because she loves it so much she takes it with her everywhere and it is starting to show serious wear. Our two year old has memorized the whole book and likes to read along with myself and my wife. Its great, what a wonderful bonding experience for both parents.

My 1-year-old loves this book

This is a fun, charming, wonderfully illustrated book for children with a mother and father. One half of the book is Mommy Loves her Baby; you flip the book over and start at the other side for Daddy Loves his Baby.My 1-year-old loves pointing to all the bright illustrations of animals. My 3-year-old chants along with the last line, "Mommy loves her baby, and you know why this is true? Cause her baby is the sweetest little, cutest little you!"

I bought this book primarily because of the author's (Tara Jaye Morrow) reputation as a writer and poet...and she proves herself once again as a children's book author. I hope she comes out with other books as well -- you won't be disappointed. Specifically with Mommy Loves Her Baby/Daddy Loves His Baby, I enjoyed the creativity infused in her storytelling technique, utilizing a variety of fun, appealing animals that will keep the attention of boys and girls. The verse structure is fun and energetic -- and the format -- one side is mommy-focused; flip the book, and the other side is daddy-focused -- is also a cool feature! The language is approachable and entertaining -- check it out for yourself! It would make a wonderful keepsake gift for new mothers and new fathers, too!
