Mollie Mouse, living with her parents, a brother and a sister in the basement of a church, is fascinated by the beautiful voices of the church choir and the Christmas message from the pulpit. She is determined to learn to sing, then form her own Christmas choir, and make music to please that tiny baby boy born in Bethlehem so very, very long ago. "Mice don't sing," she is told. This does not deter her, and with the help of her family, she makes her wish come true. The whole mouse community joins in, even a few rats from the nearby dump. Three cats, an owl and a hawk, previous enemies of the mice, come to listen to the music. During this wondrous season, there is peace on earth. That's the miracle of Christmas.
