A REAL good read

I found this extremely well-researched novel to be a real page-turner. History and fiction are interwoven in a subtle drama that leaves the reader entirely engaged in the action -- this would make a great movie or mini-series, as the characters are real, breathing examples of humanity (or the lack thereof!). I recommend this novel.

A Great Historical Fiction Read!

Finally, a book that takes me acurately to the time and place of the characters. I love reading historical fiction that the author has researched every detail of the period. The characters are bold and held me to the storyline. A page turner whose anchor is in the past with an interesting twist in the world we recognize as today.
