Vehicular Adhoc Network is an emerging new technology and a promising platform for the intelligent transportation system and it is a subclass of mobile Adhoc networks. The vehicles in VANET are kept 100-300 mts away from each other and they make a wireless network to communicate with the other vehicles of the network. These networks have no fixed infrastructure and instead rely on the vehicles themselves to provide network functionality. Most important application of VANET is disseminating emergency messages to drivers in case of dangerous events. Effectiveness depends on the design of the broadcast scheme. Water-wave broadcasting scheme which broadcasts the messages to the vehicles in their particular network. Improving broadcasting scheme by adding priority to the emergency messages, the broadcasting of the emergency messages according to their priorities. Improving the existing system for broadcasting of the emergency messages in vehicle-to-vehicle communication through priority based sequencing of the emergency messages according to their priorities. The cluster head chosen on the basis of the speed of the vehicle. NS-2.34 simulation tool used to implement this.
