God speaks through everyday situations. For instance when I was picking up trash along the road, I had filled my bag and put it down so I could go home and get my van to come pick it up. "Pick up some more garbage," came the voice I had learned to trust. "But I don't have a bag to put it in." I argued. After several minutes of this argumentative dialogue, I finally picked up more items. My hands were full and I had even tucked some papers under my arms when I beheld a bag hanging on a fence. "You see, when you walk in obedience, you don't have to worry about provision, I will supply your needs along the way!" Speaking to His disciples Mark 6:7-9 records "And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff - no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts - but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics." Each experience I've had corresponds with scripture from the Bible. Anyone can hear God's voice. If we read the Bible and pray, He will speak to us. Most of the time He speaks to our hearts and it is not an audible voice, however there are instances where people have actually heard a voice. All of these experiences were heart-felt communication.
