Good for beginners in mobile web design

If you know nothing about the mobile web, this book is good introduction for you. It is very tiny book, doesn't go too deep, rather cover the basics and offer links to other resources. After reading of this book you wouldn't be able just go and make perfect mobile web design, but you will be ready to make your first experiments and avoid common mistakes.

Fantastic Book - Highly Recommended

The important thing to know is that this book focuses on the key concepts and information required to plan mobile strategies, rather than specific code examples for building mobile apps and sites. This book enlightened me, changing my perspective on the role of design, and the needs of the user as it applies mobile content. Any designer, developer or business owner interested in stepping in to the mobile realm should read this book.

Great book on mobile web design, doesn't cover advanced topics though...

This is an excellent beginner's guide to mobile development. While it doesn't cover advanced topics such as redirecting users to a mobile website, serving video, or JavaScript for advanced devices, it has an excellent introduction to mobile web design. It covers WAP, XHTML and CSS and the development process, how to test on different mobile devices, and even how to promote your mobile website. If you're an experienced web designer and are interested in developing for mobile, I'd definitely recommend this book.

I've been waiting for a book like this for years! Its a concise, yet detailed introduction to almost everything you'll need to get started in mobile web development.

A Must Read For Anyone in Mobile Web Design

This is one of those books that I read from cover to cover without loosing interest anywhere along the way. The book is broken up into 8 chapters that cover: mobile context, mobile delivery methods, development practices, validation, testing, and advanced technologies such as Flash Lite, SVG and Ajax, as well as much more. As a mobile developer for many years, most of the information was a review for me, but I was happy to learn several new things and refresh my mind on what is important as a mobile developer. I think this book is great for those just starting and those who have anything to do with mobile sites. My only wish is that EVERY web/mobile developer would read this book and follow the best practices outlined in the book.
