Mobile wallets and the city's socio-economic development

This work focuses on the adoption and impact of mobile money use on household well-being: a case study of households in the city of Mbandaka, Equateur Province, Democratic Republic of Congo. It seeks to understand how the adoption and use of mobile money influences financial inclusion, mobility and the ease of transactions between individuals of different entities, and consequently, household well-being.The aim of this research is twofold: firstly, to identify the profile of individuals who adopt mobile money, and secondly, to assess the impact of this innovation on the well-being of households in Mbandaka. The first objective is to outline the socio-economic profile of mobile money users in the city. The second seeks to determine whether the use of mobile money has a significant impact on the socio-economic life of users.This study mainly targets cell phone users with a mobile money account, based on a sample of 100 individuals.
