A complete program of textbook, lab manual, and software, this Microsoft Official Academic Course provides everything students need to build the knowledge and skills necessary to implement, administer, and troubleshoot information systems that incorporate Microsoft Windows XP Professional. In addition, this textbook will help students to prepare for Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Exam 70-270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional. A complete set of instructor resources supports the book.
This book is really in depth on showing you how to set up, manage, configure and set accounts and much much more. It is pretty much broken into chapters on everything that you will need to know about Microsoft Windows XP Professional. It also comes with an evaluation copy of XP Pro for students to do their labs. Over all, i gave the book a 5 star rating because it is just very simple to follow and you do learn a lot about Windows XP.

This book so far is very helpful for learning and preparing for the 70-290 MS 2003 server exam. Book comes with 03 Enterprise 180 day evaluation cd & student cd rom. The student cd rom includes practice exams for the test as well as slides and e-book. Also, 2nd lab book is included. The one down side is it may be hard to get the hands on experience in a home enviorment due to the nature of server... Overall, excellent learning tool for those looking to expand from XP to server.
