Better than some of her other books

This is the first of a series of short stories about 4 girls coming together with the help of their therapist. In this first story, Misty sets the stage and introduces us to Dr. Marlowe, Star, Jade, and Cat whose stories we will hear later. Misty tells her story of how her parents divorce impacted her. Her parents' focus on themselves and on their hatred for each other drives Misty to the edge. Some of V.C. Andrews' stories grab my attention. Others do not. This is one that captured my attention with believable characters. I am really looking forward to the next one.

This book was really interesting.

I thought this book was extremely captivating and i could notput it down once i started. V.C Andrews is probably my favoriteauthor because she can keep the reader interested in the book.Overall the book was great but there were some obscene parts and i think this book should be for teens and older although the reading level is for children.

Short, but good....

I'll admit it. I'm thirteen years old, but I've been a devoted V.C. Andrews fan ever since I was eleven years old and saw "Fls. in the Attic", the worst movie ever, compared to the awesome book. I loved this book, I suppose because I'm a young teen and I can understand the characters and their feelings, but I am disappointed at how small these books are. Like many other angry reviewers, this book is VERY, VERY, VERY short and though these stories are different then the normal chilling, haunting tales of the real V.C. Andrews and the longer series not written by her, these stories are enthralling. Come on, Ghost Writer! I'm barely almost fourteen years old, and I WANT longer, thicker books! Many people claim that you're targeting the younger era, so I just had to tell you that ``secret" before you make anymore miniseries concerning four children that must become friends one way or another, like the "Orphan Miniseries" did just like this one.I can't wait to read the next one of the "Wildflowers Miniseries", despite my previous sarcastic intentions. This is so good though, because if you are young you can identify with the characters. Kids who are younger then nine years old shouldn't read any of these (because of the sex, obviously). But please, Ghost Writer, gives us a break and make these MINIseries into LONGERseries.

what I feel about the new wildflowers series.

Compared to the rest of V.C. Andrews novels I thought that "Wildflowers" is a great series that I can't wait to get my hands on the next book that comes out. I just wish that they were longer so they would last for a couple of days instead of just a couple of hours. As for Misty I can relate to her since my parents are also divorced. But, I didn't have to go through all the pain that she has gone through and I'm glad for that.

Not at all what I had expected

I have been reading VC Andrews books for a few years now and was extremely disappointed with the Orphan series. It was a disgrace to her name. I bought Misty yesterday expecting it to be just as bad as the Orphan series, but as a loyal reader I bought the book anyway, and I was shocked when I started reading it today. I could not put it down. Misty's story intrigued me. In fact, her feelings reminded me of my own. I can't wait to read about Star, Jade, and Cat. If you'd like to email me to talk about one of her books (I've read all of them) then please do so, but for now I will be impatiently awaiting the arrival of Star.
