Missives From a Broken Heart is a collection of poetic letters and poems which are the thoughts of the poet, written in an attempt to encourage people and also address some of the challenges they are faced with in different areas of life. Today we go through heartbreaking experiences we are forced to accept as we journey through life as it happens to us from different fronts. And most times we aren't even prepared for even the things we know must come to us whether we like it or not: parents and loved ones are lost, love is won and shortly slips through our grasps, marriages crumble, disappointments and betrayals happen, child-brides are given out in marriage to men old enough to be their grandfathers, promises, pledges and vows are made but never kept by many, politicians betray our trust and set us against one another, businesses crumble, friends turn their backs on us, families and communities continue in the old errors that continue to threaten everyone, the list goes on and on, and all these break many hearts as we all journey through life.
But, with the right understanding and approach, when we realize where we are from where we are going, and are ready to wake up, and with hope pick up the fragments of our lives again and make amends, we discover that something could still come out of us that will contribute immensely to the world at large.
The poet is like a free bird that doesn't want to be caged by rules of any kind, and so, deliberately frees himself from sticking to any while concentrating on this approach as a style of its own.
