This book is a must read for any missionary that, along with a firm evangelical conviction that the Great Commission is about saving souls, also has a strong sense that God's purpose for the Church is to be a witness for peace in the world. The book is written from a classic Mennonite perspective, with all of the contributors being Mennonite. Hopefully, the book will get out to a larger audience because the theme that it addresses in an important one. Too often in the missionary world we reduce the gospel to a set of propositions to be believed without considering the ethical implications of our faith, and how they are supposed to be lived out in the community of the Body of Christ. We hear a lot of teaching about the "Kingdom of God" these days with very little defining of what the Kingdom of God actually is, and more importantly, how it is supposed to be lived out. This book will go a long way in enlarging the average evangelical's understanding of the moral implications of the gospel. Aaron D.
