This is the story of Camille, a motherless girl, not acknowledged by her father, who grew up in the poorest part of Paris in 1800.
In the neighbourhood of The Mis rables, there were no people of the best quality. However, some people had aspirations, so Camille and her friend Pierre tried to learn to read.
Years later, Camille meets Olivier, a young student at the Sorbonne, who will help her learn to write. Eventually, Camille and Olivier fall in love and live a passionate romance. However, fate seems to come between them.
Camille ends up in prison because of misfortune. Olivier loses contact with Camille.
As fate would have it, Camille is reunited with Pierre, Olivier and even her father.
This is the story of how a wretched girl can change her fate with the help of God and by making wise choices to build her life.
Natalia, the writer, wanted to be inspired by a classic and create a totally authentic and original story because Natalia believes that it is good to be inspired by great minds like Victor Hugo and simultaneously learn something completely new and original.
