Misappropriations of Human Rights in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan : A Contemporary Analysis

At the stroke of midnight on the eve of the 15th of August 1947, the erstwhile British India partitioned into two independent domains; namely the Dominion of India and the Dominion of Pakistan. The division was certainly the beginning of a new dawn. Since Pakistan inculcated subscription to the religion of Islam, hence it cultivated high level of expectations through the nascent Republic, by the Ummah. These surplus expectations were adduced on good governance, social welfare, and economic supremacy and last but not the least the establishment of an Islamic State, which was deemed be the successor state to the Ottoman Caliphate. Unfortunately many of these set of expectations turned folly, due to the incapacitance of the ruling Elite of the later Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In this regard the most affected sector always remained the incompetent human rights record of the country. Our Prime Focus is to primarily identify the violations and then classify them according to the match category. Our effort is albeit a conscious one, neutralizing the effects of a deliriously sensitive topic. We hope that this research paper will bring considerable awareness about the breach of the code of human rights in Pakistan. Hence, we have titled our research "The misappropriations of the conception of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan". The research plan includes the problem definition, scope, literature review, explanation, proposed solutions and proposal for future study. A disclaimer for the audience though that our research is eschewed from all sorts of quixotic approaches. We have a neutral argument and it stretches from the exhausting of all possible resources at hand. This research, absolutely entails no attempt whatsoever to garner support for political parties, gender right activists or any other non-governmental organization for that matter. On the contrary our research paper is a humble attempt to identify the problems related to human rights and their respective appropriations. Whatever good is found in our report is bestowed from the bounties of Allah Taa'laa and whatever incompetency might be found in the research is due to our naivet of this topic. In the end we sincerely pray that Almighty Allah accepts this creative work of writing in the tally of our good deeds and enable this research paper to provide solution oriented reforms to the irrevocable breach of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
