Wonderful Children's Book for any concerned parent

Lucinda Owl is a tale of a young owl with dyslexia and her friend bunny who helps her grapple with learning to read. The tale is delightfully illustrated by Ms. Von Furstenberg, and effectively conveys important concepts for both children with dyslexia, and those without. Reading this book to a child with dyslexia will give them both a better understanding of what dyslexia is, but it also succeeds in couching the topic so that a child who has a problem reading will learn to understand that their problem is not one that they should feel too discouraged about. For children without dyslexia, this book gives insight into the situation and compassion. It may well be the perfect book for a family who has a history of dyslexia and is trying to explain it appropriately to their youngest members.
