Miracles for Michael

Author: ?+ Joann Arnold Description:

A terrible accident in a strange town leaves nine-year-old Michael Downing alone and his mother hospitalized in a coma. Social workers place him under the charge of two women--Harley-riding Samantha Porter and her spinster sister, Hannah Allen.

As they care for him, Michael visits his mother each day in the hospital, singing and reading to her, and his spirit touches the town in miraculous ways.

When his unloving grandparents try to take custody of young Michael, his local caregivers resist them in court and help to shape Michael's future in a series of events that climax on a wonderful, life-changing Christmas day.

A Touching Story

Miracles for Michael is a touching story of a young boy whose life changes for the better when he meets Samantha Porter. Michael's behavior changes from run-away to a sense of belonging as he learns to trust again. It's a very endearing story and one that will touch your heart.

Miracles for Michael

This is a wonderful book by Joann Arnold. She has a way of bringing new suprises into each characters lives. This is a book about a little boy who is dealt some difficult challenges. He could have been lost in the foster home program but instead is found by a wonderful group of Ladies that need something in their lives to help them focus on the good things in life. I was so suprised that this book had LDS values, since it wasn't published by Covenant Communications or Deseret Book. I was happily suprised and couldn't put it down. This is the second book that I read from Joann Arnold, the first was just as good. It was called Journey of the Promise.
