Knitting a sweater, it's not as easy as it looks

Minnie and Moo bring laughter and excitement to reading, and this book was a wonderful addition to our growing collection. When the cows decide to bring the farmer a birthday present, one calamity after another occur. This book is great to teach cause and effect along with inferencing and character analysis. Many of the characters in the book have established personalities. As with people, the animals portray human characteristics which are not all positive. Discussing the occasional rude remarks and asking for more positive replacement behavior help children learn acceptable responses in various social situations. As a contrast, Minnie and Moo display a sensitivity and concern toward others. Children can identify with the times their "home-made" gifts didn't turn out exactly as planned. The illustrations are wonderful and the humorous dialogue keep the children waiting for their turn to read the book.
