Scripture's truths are like nuggets of gold in a reserve. To be its best, gold must be mined, refined, and designed as bullion, coins, jewelry, and the like. To get the best from the truths of Scripture, they too must be mined, refined, and designed: Mined by applying them to real situations in life, refined by identifying which precepts are greater than our cultural practices, and designed for us as family members, neighbors, and members of society as we forge the relationship we can enjoy with God.

Reading and applying God's Word for even a few minutes each day helps us to be more aware of His love for us and to live as His beloved creation.
