Mined Nuggets: from The Zen Teachings of Huang Po

Thirty koan-like poems offer a door to the practical wisdom of the Zen Master, Huang Po, who taught in China during the ninth century CE. The poet mined these nuggets from the 1958 English translation of the ninth-century Chinese-Buddhist text, The Chun Chou Record Of The Zen Master Huang Po (Tuan Chi), by John Blofeld who, in his introduction, affirms his confidence in the authenticity of the teachings, and of their conguence with the mystical experiences of the great religions traditions.
