Thomas Jenkins aka "Big T" desires to follow in his father's footsteps of becoming an NBA player for the Atlanta Hawks. Interestingly, he is also intrigued with the life and evolving behaviors of his younger brother. Manny, who suffers from autism. Torn between not wanting to disappoint his overbearing father, Thomas struggles to make a decision between being a professional player and focusing on his education, eventually wanting to become a counselor for children with disabilities. In addition to his personal problems, outside forces are determined to see that Thomas doesn't make it in the NBA, let alone college. It seems that no one, not even his passive mother seems to understand his frustration. The pressure of life become too much for him as he engages in behavior that could possibly end his basketball career and his life.
