It's Christmas. San Francisco, 1949. Private detective Alexander Blade is in no mood to celebrate. He's taken a skip trace job in the Tenderloin to make ends meet. Fate steps in when his assistant, part time fan dancer Paloma Liu Tsong accepts a new client while he's away.

The money she's offered sounds too good to be true; then Paloma hears the terms. She must use an Ouija board to contact the client's murdered boss, noted UC Berkeley sociologist Roswell Dvorak, PhD, to catch his killer. The board sessions are off to a rocky start and only get worse, until Blade seeks help from a native shaman known as "the Chief," to straighten things out.

Blade learns that Professor Dvorak was a member of a Marin County cult called Omenon, run by a former pulp fiction writer named Ananda Vedanta, and Blade suspects the cult may have had something to do with Dvorak's death.

Ananda Vedanta claims to get his information through a supernatural source and says he's smarter than Einstein. He's written his cosmic revelations into a series of science fiction stories that eventually become the teachings for his cult.

There's more to Omenon than meets the eye. Behind the scene are Nazi scientists working on one of Hitler's most top secret weapons programs, called Project Mind Fuhrer.

What began as a dalliance over an Ouija board, has turned into a plot to take over the planet! Blade is hemmed in by the Professor's oversexed daughter, a quirky native shaman, and a longhaired guru determined to rule the world. Find out what happens next in The Mind Fuhrer!
