Dave Barry eat your heart out...

With all the wit of a Dave Barry read but better! Full of humor and trepidation about making a public appearance on national television. The true story of making your dreams a reality. A great book that is very difficult to read without pausing to go back and read parts out loud to who ever might be around to listen...friends, family, cats, pillows.

Who Wants To Read A Good Book?

I never made it on the game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and Lord knows I tried.I watched every show, though!I watch Regis' morning show, LIVE! With Regis and Kelly every morning. Did I enjoy this book? You bet I did. Why?Because it's about Regis and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and it answered some questions I had had. Like... Is it really harder answering the questions when you are in that studio (because it looks so simple at home)? What is Regis really like? What's it like to try and win one million dollars on a television game show? This book, Millionaire Boy, answered all of those questions in a very funny, very comfortable style. I actually finished this book in two days! I didn't want to put it down!If you want a good laugh, or two, or three, read this book.If you are fan of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, game shows in general, or Regis Philbin, "Millionaire Boy:The Adventures of a Game Show Contestant" is a must for your collection!

My Favorite Television Program

has now become one of my favorite books. I was a big fan of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. When I found out that a contestant had written a book about his experiences on the show, I knew I had to buy it. Millionaire Boy The Adventures of a Game Show Contestant was a fun, easy read. With all that has been happening in the world, I was glad to have something funny to read. In fact, I found myself laughing out loud several times, because the author has a style that reminds me of Dave Barry's.I would say that if you were fan of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, you should buy this book, becuase it really does tell the whole story and answer alot of questions about Regis Philbin and the those questions. If you just want a funny book, you should buy it too.My sister, who never watches television, is now reading my copy of Millionaire Boy The Adventures of a Game Show Contestant. I thought she was crying the other night, but it turns out she was just reading one of the many funny chapters. I'm looking forward to reading another book by J.E. Matzer.I enjoyed his style and his unique sense of humor.

Not a WWTBAM Fan

I admit it... I've never been a big fan of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire fan. Or a Regis fan either, for that matter. But come back! Don't judge this review on that information. I was laid up with a broken ankle when I received this book, and I have to tell you, if laughter is the best medicine, then this book was better than any pain killers any doctor could have prescribed. I absolutely LOVED this book, and laughed out loud several times...laughed until I cried, even. At more than one point, I had to put the book down before I was ready to stop reading, and start crutching myself to the bathroom before I peed my pants from laughing. Ok, more information then you were looking for, but the bottom line is, I highly recommend reading this book, or giving it to a friend who could use a laugh. It was such a joy to read, and I've gained a newfound respect for the author, of course, contestants of this show, and yes, even Regis.

What a funny book!

This was a great book!I have never laughed out loud so much in my life. The author has a very comfortable writing style, and at times, I felt as if he was talking directly to me. I am a fan of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and had long dreamed of being a contestant. With the future of the show in question, it doesn't look as though I will make it into the hot seat. I'm glad I read Millionaire Boy: The Adventures of a Game Show Contestant because now I feel as if I have traveled to New York and tried for that one million dollars. All my questions about Who Wants To Be A Millionaire were answered by this book. And in a fun way too!If you are a fan of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Regis Philbin, Live! With Regis and Kelly, game shows, or really funny books, you will enjoy Millionaire Boy: The Adventures of a Game Show Contestant.
