The photos for Milk Bone Theater were shot in an abandoned theater. The model with whom I collaborated on this project brought me there, it was a place she liked to break in and play music by herself and dance, in front of a grimy broken antique mirror. She moved in front of the camera like an electric eel, posing in an unbroken solipsistic trance as she twisted through an unending sequence of uncanny poses, sometimes snarling with an inwardly directed violence or writhing around spontaneously, seemingly unaware that I was there. These photos document an exercise in self-perception.
