Beginning of the Mildred Keith series

This is the first in the Mildred Keith series, a companion series to the Elsie Dinsmore books. Mildred's family moves to the 'frontier' after a financial loss, and lessons learned along the way serve to strengthen their faith. Very different from the newer releases by Mission City Press, the books are not interchangeable. Still worth reading, however.

Mildred Keith

Mildred Keith embarks on a journey with her parents, great Aunt Wealthy, and younger siblings in this delightful and facinating read, and arrives at a new home in Pleasent Plains, Indiana. I can't believe I'm the first person to review this! The Keith home is a very domestic setting, and, though this book really doesn't have a plot, I enjoyed it very much, particuarly the spiritual reflections of the charactors, and their interactions with their new neighbors. Martha Finley has a wonderful sense of humor, and all of her charctors are original, full of color and life. Adventure and romance for children, young people, and their parents. Enjoy!
