This is a good book to have in your collection. These Passport books are great. Gives you enough to pass the test, and then some. I used this as my primary book for the test, plus CBT videos, and test lab in the house. Also throw in a study guide, and practice test, and you should be good. When studying just practice the things you are learning over and over, and you you should be good for the test. This makes a good reference as well.

I was introduced to the Passport series while studying for my Network+ exam. Since then I have used the Passport series for 70-270, 70-290 and 70-218, both tests were passed with flying colors. I purchased numerous other books but always come back to the Passport series. Couldn't pass a test without them.
Great book if you have a lot of experience.....

I am using the passport series to work on my MCSE. I have taken two exams (70-290 and 70-293)using just this series as guides and have passed both first time. I have been working with NT/AD technology for years so I am looking for concise info concentrated on what I need to pass exams and find these books fit the bill. If you are new to Windows or networking, these books are not tutorials. They do not provide much hand holding through examples, they are just study guides. I can only rate the books as four stars because on each exam I took, I was blindsided by a few questions. Things on the exam that the book did not even cover. However, they do earn a solid four stars for their conciseness. They are relatively short, easy to read and well focused on giving you the information you need to pass. If you have a solid background in the technologies already, they will not waste your time with tutorials. All told, I have found them to be excellent study guides. If you are new to Windows, you'll need another series.
Wonderful Book!

There are only a small handful of computer books out of the many dozens I have purchased in my career that I not only wanted to read cover to cover, but have. "Mike Meyers' Windows Server 2003 Certification Passport" is one of them. As someone who uses Windows Server 2003 daily and teaches it to others in a college setting, this book is a refreshing change from the other Windows Server 2003 books on the market. The "Certification Passport" presents its content in a fun format as a "travel guide" to Windows Server 2003. I found that this book expertly crafts the material into something that you were reading because to have to, into something you want to. It injects humor into many topics, and makes material that would otherwise be rather dull, appealing to its readers. Students (and teachers) will find the end-of-chapter questions helpful, but it is the book's writing style, to the point, clear, and interesting, that will make you come back to it again.
