Migration of rural youth an analysis

The study entitled "Migration of Rural Youth - An Analysis" aimed to expound on the migration behavior of rural youth, its associated determinants, and their return intention to agriculture. An attitude scale was developed to measure the psychological disposition of rural youth towards agriculture. Further, farm and home-level impacts as a result of migration were also studied. This study also focused on identifying the associating and contributing variables to the migration behavior and attitude of rural youth toward agriculture. Besides, the constraints perceived to be active in agriculture were identified and the empowerment needs required by the rural youth were determined. Finally, a prescriptive model for motivating youth as key stakeholders in agriculture and allied sectors was proposed.
