If crime is a disease, meet the cure. His name is Sphinx Mulroney. He's got no parents to speak of and like his namesake he's an enigma with an unknown past, and an unscripted future. He lives only for the moment. Sure his morals are questionable, and perhaps his attitude needs the occasional adjustment, but when you see him stalking down the dark, rain-drenched streets alone in that trademark trench coat and fedora, admit it, you feel safer just knowing he's walking the beat. But if you're looking for redemption in humanity you'd do well to look elsewhere. He's not interested in saving the world, just righting one wrong at a time. Payback is the closest thing he's got to religion. His moral code tells him there's no need to anesthetize someone when you can simply beat it out of him. But if looks can be deceiving then so too can a name. And that's the riddle of the Sphinx, or at least the one he'll need to solve in this potboiler.
