Midnight at Westbrook: When Darkness Calls Your Name
Every school has its mysteries. Theirs has shadows that hunt.
Five eighth-graders who would never normally speak to each other are about to discover why Westbrook Middle School's shadows move differently than they should. When they uncover hidden journals from 1985 documenting the disappearance of a student into what was called "the shadow world," they dismiss it as creative writing-until the shadows start reaching for them too.
As their reluctant alliance transforms into the only friendship that matters, Maya, Jamie, Darius, Zach, and Ellie must decipher decades of warnings left by previous students before the darkness claims one of their own. With the help of a mysterious custodian who knows more than he should, they'll uncover a cycle of disappearances stretching back to 1945.
But the shadows are growing stronger, the barriers between worlds are thinning, and this time, the darkness has a plan.
Some will call their story impossible.
The shadows know better.
And soon, so will you.
