In politically polarized America, a college professor devises a common-ground platform - a "middleground"-where both the left and the right can communicate freely and constructively to address common problems such as healthcare, affordability, economic equity and fairness, and education.
Meanwhile, a Catholic priest, concerned about the move away from religion and dropping church attendance, uses that same platform to sort through fake news to arrive at the truth, and then overlays the teachings of Jesus and of the Church upon those truths, such that Christians know how to coexist in a secular/religious world.
Each leader -the professor and the priest - meets various challenges with varying degrees of success-and various roadblocks - in their attempts to resolve left/right and secular/religious issues.
In the end, based upon her platform experiences, the professor makes a bold recommendation that will change American politics for the better.
