New Business Paradigm

This book gave me the confidence to do things in business that I had never thought possible. I realized there wasn't a mystery to greating a great and profitable company, you just had to go out and do it. So many of the principles and keys to success are just common sense once you hear them, but it takes seeing them in writing before you realize it. This book will change the way you look at business and will open up your mind to allow you to be more successful as an entrepreneur than before you had read it - guaranteed. On a side note, I think this book is so good that with my friends I refer to it as "financial porn".

An approach to niche business strategies for the New Economy

Mr. Slee does an excellent job (both in live presentations as well as written form) in directing the business manager towards high-value opportunities, and away from the obvious, the expected or the glamorous markets. Slee defines the niche space well below typical discussions of performance business; $5-15 million, and explains how companies based on this type of model / mindset generate the greatest return. What's more, these are not the same tired fortune 100 companies, but exciting midmarket firms, all of which Mr. Slee advised first-hand.

Valuation of private business 101

The subject of private business valuation is an often murky topic, very little solid information. The book Midas Managers goes into the different elements that effect valuation; why one business might get EBITDA x 3, and another similar might be worth EBITDA X 12. Valuation de-mystified. Really does a great job on this. Sources of capital, expectations, and what makes a more sale-able or or attractive company. Selling or Buying, worth the read. Well thought out, well presented and worth the price of admission.

First of all, the book itself was in Brand New condition as claimed and the book had no markings in it at all. Secondly, the delivery was extremely timely and notification of the status was made. I was highly pleased overall.
