Microsoft Office 2007 - Excel

The combination of text and illustrations in this book make the flow of excel understandable and enjoyable.

Where everything is on the Ribbon

I bought this book for a college class, with my prior experience being in Excel97 and 2003. The book does a good job explaining where everything went to on the Ribbon, which can be frustrating when you know how to do something in the previous version but can't find it in the current version of Excel07. The book is presented in two-page formats, with instructions on the left, and diagrams (screen shots) on the right. If you pay close attention to the details given on the left page and go step-by-step, you'll have no problem with the material. The book describes creating and working with tables, using Excel to filter the data (if you don't have Access), and creating/formatting charts. My favorite part of the book included the section on Macros, PivotTables and Programming in VBA (these were optional sections in my class.)
