Microsoft Edge is a browser that was developed by Microsoft and was first originally released for Windows 10 and the Xbox One system. The release for the Xbox was in 2015 and for the Android and iOS platform in 2017.This was an innovative software as it now facilitated the use of Cortana and could now accept extensions that were located in Microsoft Store. There is a fundamental difference between Edge and Internet Explorer, it does not support legacy technology namely, ActiveX and BHO technologies.Edge was first built using Chakra and Edge engines, but it was revisited and built using a Chromium based browser. This is the new flagship browser of Microsoft as Internet Explorer has been discontinued.
