THIS IS THE BOOK FOR FIRST TIME OR BRUSH-UP USERS WHO WANT TO GET A LITTLE MORE SUBSTANCE OUT OF THEIR EFFORTS IN A REASONABLY SHORT TIME. A MEDIUM AMOUNT OF WORDINESS, CLEAR PRECISE PROCEDURAL GUIDING, AND CLEAR B & W SCREEN PRESENTATION. THOUGH COLOR WOULD HAVE BEEN EXTRA NICE.

The book provides an excellent treatment for both new users and those upgrading from Word 97. It covers all neccesary topics without going into unneccessary detail. The only thing missing is the MOUS approved courseware logo which we hope should be put on it. I recommend it to anyone wising to get up to speed quickly on Word 2000. keep up the good work!

Excellent Tutorial On Word 2000

If you are looking for an excellent overall tutorial on Word 2000, you have come to the right place.As with most of the other Microsoft Press "Step By Step" books, this one really delivers. The most important aspect of these books is their intuitive and well-documented exercises. You can literally teach yourself by just doing the exercises provided in each section. Other books are more appropriate if you want a reference, but this is the book to use for a tutorial.I have been teaching with these books for almost two years, and my students love them. Many of our sessions are self-paced, and the students are easily able work through the exercises on their own with little intervention.One downside to this particular book is the number of typos and overall errors. We have found more than is usual for this series of books.Overall, another excellent book from Microsoft.
