Fast and informative

This book will give you working knowledge of Office '97. Step by step instructions guide you. First time users, this is perfect. Long time users like myself keep this deskside for easy reviews.

This book is an excellent tool for the casual user.

In my experience I personally have found that software documentation has been less than readable for the general casual user. This book is intended for the person who uses Office 97 as an organizational tool but never intends to develop a comprensive knowledge of this software package. The book is not and does not intend to be exhaustive or comprehensive, but that is good because its target audience would be overwhelmed by that. The book is well organized and I appreciate the liberal use of pictures to illustrate "how to". Indeed a picture is worth far more than a thousand words of jargon.
