Micro-implants are increasingly being used as an alternative or supplementary solution to standard implant systems where classical implants are difficult or impossible to place. Their use allows the restoration of oral function and aesthetics with minimal trauma, meeting the goals of modern minimally invasive dentistry. This review considers the history of the development of these devices, their classification, indications and methods of application, clinical results and prospects for further development. The aim is to summarize the current scientific data (PubMed, Scopus, RINC) on microimplants in dental practice and formulate recommendations for their effective integration into clinical work.
