Gardner's Guide, one problem..photos are not by the names of plants.

Wonderful information on plants, well written, however, One problem, the photos are not next to the descriptions of the plants. If you are an expert garner, this is a great informative book. I went back to using my old copy of my Western Garden book, as I did not realize the zones are used in the mid-west too. Sorry guys, but Western Garden Book has you beat hands down.
Good book - at least for the beginning gardener

I borrowed this book from the library, and did not get to look through it extensively, but I am a beginning gardener and would definitely like to add this book to my home library to have on hand as a reference. I liked the fact that the book is broken into sections by annuals, perrenials, shrubs, etc. Also, I think every plant mentioned includes a full color picture. That was a high point for me as I am just becoming familiar with many of these specimens. I wish I could give a more thorough review, but at first glance I was very happy with the content of this book.
