michael buble-its time vocal/piano

Loved the songs in this vocal collection. I was glad to see that although had a vocal line with the music the songs were in piano solo format. They were beautiful on piano and easy to play.

Great arrangement. It does a great job of immitating the exact feel of the jazz band that plays behind michael buble.

Challenging and Greatly Satisfying

The arrangements in this book are excellent. They are definitely not for the beginning pianist, however. The rhythms are challenging, but spot on. The vocal melodies are not integrated into the piano part, but are shown as an individual vocal part in the book. This means that if you were to play the songs purely instrumentally, you would not have the melody explicitly heard - the performer would have to combine the vocal line above the grand staff himself/herself. But let's say you're listening to the CD while you play the arrangements in the book. They are practically exact to the pianist on the CD! It's such a joy to play along that it's as though you are accompanying Michael Buble himself!

Exactly what I was looking for!

What makes this book unique, is that it does not have outdated recycled arrangements you can photocopy in any music library for 10c a page. HalLeonard Publishing is finally beginning to revise all 50-year old arrangements to this format. This book is exactly what I was looking for-exact note-for-note piano accompaniment of old standards,all new and fresh. I love Michael Buble and I love these songs. If you have a perfect pitch, or can do these arrangments yourself, then you don't need a book. For me, this book is a treasure-jazzy-swingy songs with never-boring chords. My favorite ones are Foggy Day, Song for You (Leon Russell), You Don't Know me, and Try a Little Tenderness. Hal Leonard Publication is a real innovator-Please do the same note-for-note arrangements of Michael Feinstein's work.
