When her father is killed after an affair with the wife of beloved mob boss Carmine Lucci, she faces the challenges of growing up in urban Midwestern St. Louis, Missouri. Taking companionship and marriage with a much older and street wiser hustler named Bri, she becomes emotionally distressed from the abuses landing her in the comforts of their mutual legal advisor Ty who helps them navigate their businesses through the red tape of government bureaucracy. This leads to Cold War Era-like tensions between the three. Mia Farone traces the steps of the story of a pandora's box of forbidden and the Cold-War Era-like tensions that ensue between the three.
