Book Overview

Hispanics are now the largest minority in the United States. Of the more than forty million Hispanics, some two-thirds are Mexican or Mexican-American. Almost half of all babies in the nation are born of Hispanic parents, and "Garcia" is quickly becoming the most common surname in America. So there's no better time to feast on the interesting and entertaining trivia provided in Mexico's Most Wanted(tm)! Author Boze Hadleigh, grandson of a Mexican general and diplomat, covers Mexico's culture and history in all its wonder. He discusses the fabulous food and drink native to Mexico; details its star actors, actresses, directors, singers, and athletes; highlights the history, ruins, and vacation spots that make Mexico a premier destination for travelers; and so much more. Mexico's diversity and cultural and historical achievements are barely known to most Americans or even to many Mexican-Americans. Mexico has a long, rich, and fascinating heritage to be proud of, celebrated, learned about, and visited. Mexico's Most Wanted(tm) is a great way to learn more about our southern neighbor and a great primer for those about to explore it.

If you are going to be a Chicano snot, know your history.

This is a part of a series called “Most Wanted.” The series reflects diverse backgrounds and focuses on their highlights. So, you can find the most wanted books about Italy, Ireland, the presidents, soccer, baseball, etc. “Mexico’s Most Wanted” is not a focus on Mexico, but as the title implies, Chicano culture, Latin lovers, and Hispanic pride. I enjoy it for all the references to my favorite people, such as Diego Rivera. Under comedians, one of my favorites that I have collected his movies is Cantinflas. Most of the Spanish I know came from his movies. There is a section on major ruins such as Uxmal, Tulum, and others. I have an affinity for Chichen-Itza, where I stayed at the local “Villas Arqueológicas Chichen Itza” motel run by the French. Carretera 120 km Merida-Valladolid, 97751 Chichén-Itzá, Mexico Copy address. There is a list of Half Mexicans, including: Jessica Alba Salma Hayec Yevet Mimieux Linda Carter Linda Ronstadt There is even a section on what sights to see. It included Chapultepec. A worthwhile book, even if you do not intend to become a Chicano snot.
