Mexican-American Campesino: Porterville's Poet Painter

Born in California in 1943 to immigrant parents from Mexico, the author began to oil paint in 1957. His 6 Ft. by 12 Ft. oil painting, " Stagecoach to Porterville", painted at age 17, is in the Porterville Historical Museum, in Porterville California. Now in 2013, he began to write poems describing his life as a teenage Campesino [ Farm worker] in the 1950's and 60's. The 31 poems have been published before by the author but were collected together for this purpose.
