Metamorphosis is partly an offering to the dead - specifically the author's partner of nearly thirty years who died suddenly in September 2021 of a heart attack - and partly an exploration of grief through the experiences of others, fictional or fictionalised. The collection offers a distillation of feelings and emotions prompted by incidents in the past. But it also reflects a keen sense of a pagan world that offers hope for the future.
