Great Mil Fiction

4 stars, Great Mil Fiction Metal Warrior: Born of Steel Mech Fighter Book 1 by James David Victor I like how there's not any mental illness that is in so many of today's new releases. There's non-stop action all the way through. Dane Williams is a Mech Fighter who is severely injured in the collapse of the New Sanctuary MechWrestler Dome. He not only got trapped in the collapse but he was infected with a nasty Exin Alien Virus that attacks the nervous system. When he's rescued, Dr. Sylvia Heathcoate puts him on an experimental drug that deadens the pain, so he can function. Dane is informed he's being recruited into the Federal Marine Corps Mechanized Infantry Division or the M.I.D. ..."Buzzcut. Dane thought that he looked like a shaved cat"... I like how the authors use frack for some foul language, but there is blasphemy peppered throughout.
