Sources of hydrocarbon and heavy metal pollution in Guinea come from industrial zones, seaports, navigation areas and thermal power stations.The aim of this study was to assess the level of contamination of a number of fish species by trace metals (TMEs) in Tabounsou Bay.The samples were analysed by Uviline spectrophotometry at the physicochemical laboratory of the Office National de Contr le de Qualit de Matoto (ONCQ), and the results were compared with those of the standard accepted by the EC/2001 and FAO/WHO (1989) and other authors.
